  • Dr. Gary Gruber

A long time proponent of natural, holistic care Dr. Gary Gruber began his career majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry at Hofstra University in New York earning his BS degree in 1993.  During that time he played baseball for the University on a scholarship as a pitcher.  Having several minor injuries through the years that responded well to chiropractic he knew that his passion was for entering a health care profession that was hands on, holistic and helped patients in ways that was an alternative to, yet worked well with conventional medicine.  In 1996 he graduated Magna Cum Laude obtainied his Doctorate of Chiropractic and relocated to Raleigh.

In 2000, Dr. Gary Gruber co-founded Med One Medical Group with Dr. Cara Davis. “I was looking to offer more care and services to the clinic and the first person I thought of was Dr. Davis.  She worked down the road from my office and the patients we referred to her loved her and found her very personable, caring, up to date and always had an ear to listen to their complaints.”  Since then they have been working together which is a combination that both they and the patients enjoy.  Patients are pleasantly surprised when they see an MD and Chiropractor working under one roof.

Gary is motivated by a quote from Thomas Edison which states:  “The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.”

Today, Dr. Gruber focuses his expertise on the multidisciplinary setting and enjoys seeing patients benefit from the combined approach of conventional medicine with chiropractic care.  “I enjoy seeing and treating patients that would normally never go to a chiropractor on their own, but see me because they are referred by one of our medical providers. For the first time many of them get the pain relief that they never thought they would or could get and tell me that the actual treatment was more gentle than they had imagined.”

Dr. Gruber is married to Kristin Gruber, who is also a chiropractor, and is the proud father of two daughters, Brooke and Jill. In his free time he enjoys traveling, classic cars, baseball and weight lifting.
